Your Name (Japanese: 君の名は。, Hepburn: Kimi no Na wa) is a 2016 Japanese energized heartfelt dream film delivered by CoMix Wave Movies and disseminated by Toho. It portrays a secondary school kid in Tokyo and a secondary school young lady in the Japanese field who out of nowhere and mysteriously start to trade bodies.
The movie was charged in 2014, composed and coordinated by Makoto Shinkai. It includes the voices of Ryunosuke Kamiki and Mone Kamishiraishi, with movement course by Masashi Ando, character plan by Masayoshi Tanaka, and its instrumental score and soundtrack formed by Radwimps. A light novel of a similar name, likewise composed by Shinkai, was distributed a month preceding the film’s debut.
Your Name debuted at the 2016 Anime Exhibition in Los Angeles on July 3, 2016, and was dramatically delivered in Japan on August 26, 2016, and in the US on April 7, 2017. The film was widely praised, with acclaim for the movement, music, visuals, and profound weight. The film earned over ¥41.44 billion (US$377.59 million) around the world, breaking various film industry records, including turning into the third most elevated netting anime film ever, unadjusted for expansion.
The film won Best Energized Component at the 2016 Los Angeles Film Pundits Affiliation Grants, 49th Sitges Film Celebration, and as the 71st Mainichi Film Grants, and selected for Best Liveliness of the Year at the 40th Japan Institute Prize. Starting around 2021, a true to life American redo by Principal Pictures is being developed.
